It reads like something written from inside a storm rather than about one. The emotions don’t sit still long enough to be neat—they overlap, clash, and echo off each other. That makes it feel honest in a rough way, like the words are still warm from being lived, not polished for distance.

What sticks is how intimacy here doesn’t feel safe or soft—it feels consuming. Even love sounds like something that changes shape as you hold it, until you’re not sure where you end and it begins.

I can feel that energy through the screen! It’s awesome that the Muse is walking with you this week—there’s honestly no better feeling than being 'on fire' like that. It makes perfect sense to channel that into your projects and just pop into Substack when you need that break. I’m really looking forward to catching up on everything you’ve been creating while you were in that zone.

As for Mayhem—wow. Industrial Dark-wave fits this perfectly. The lyrics are visceral. I love how you start the song, and the way you build the rhythm with your voice—that 'aaa... hoo-hoo...' is hypnotic! And then, when your voice comes in with that echo... man, it’s an absolute orgasm for the ears!

The line 'Obsidian eyes flecked with gold, young at heart wearing an old soul' is such a powerful image, and the way you contrast that beauty with 'castrating hell' is brutal in the best way possible. It’s got that raw, desperate, punky energy that hits hard. The transition from 'mayhem stirs in my soul' to that desperate question 'if I said I loved you would you let me go?' really drives home that feeling of a 'captured captive'.

You’re really good at painting these dark, intricate portraits of love and destruction. Keep riding that creative wave, Miz!

Hats off 🤍
